American Heart Association
The American Heart Association (AHA) was founded in 1924 by six cardiologists. It remains the oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to the fight against heart disease and stroke, the leading causes of death worldwide. The AHA, after nearly a century of proud service, has grown to an organization of 32 million volunteers, supporters, and donors, with almost 3,000 employees, all sharing the mission of carrying out its common focus: cardiovascular health.
The relentless commitment of the AHA is drawn from the 2024 Impact Goal, which gives everyone a fair chance towards longer and healthier lives.

Mission: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
